Tips for losing weight and getting in shape

Hey everyone!!! Hope everyones week is starting off right :) So today I am going to give my opinions and advice on weightless, exercise, diet, nutrition, ETC! No, I am not a personal trainer nor am I certified in diet and nutrition....BUT from working out for so many years and having to keep in great shape for my career, it has led me to learn a thing or two! You don't have take my advice or even read this but coming from a model and athlete, I know a little bit about what I'm talking about :) So here we go...

DIET is the number ONE most important thing when it comes to BEING HEALTHY AND LOSING WEIGHT! PERIOD! You can work out every day for hours and hours, and yes you may lose some weight BUT you are not living a healthy lifestyle and you WILL NOT maintain any fort of balance or stability if you DO NOT EAT RIGHT! So first things first is you must try to eat a clean diet as much as possible.....

Clean Diet equals= NO PRESERVATIVES, NO PROCESSED FOOD, NO SUGARS AND EXTRA ADDITIVES. BIGGEST one is PROCESSED FOOD! 

Yes, trust me I know I am telling you to basically get rid of everything that we love, but it will help in the end! NOW if you want to go completely crazy CUT OUT CARBS! 

Processed food equals= Everything that is not FRESH or GROWN! Boxed food, canned food, that is all PROCESSED FOOD.

Another key to losing weight is DO NOT EAT PAST 8PM! Late night eating or snacking is the devil! haha! Seriously, it will only slow the process down. 

Now on to the DRINKS......dun dun dun! HAHAH! Ok so all soda, is BAD! I don't care if its diet or not it is ALL BAD. Juices are also bad unless they are all natural and fresh squeezed. ALL of these drinks contain a lot of SUGAR....Sugar is bad! Coffee is ok if its black, all of those yummy tasting creamers and such are A NO GO! CANNOT HAVE THEM! 

When I decided I wanted to slim down this is what my diet contained: 
Chicken
Flank steak
Any fresh veggies
salad...Only vinegar and oil for dressing
Sweet potatoes
Tuna
Water to drink and occasional coffee
I KNOW TOALLY BORING RIGHT? But it worked!  I did it for 6 weeks and I was amazed! That is really ALL I ATE! It was hard for the first couple weeks but then I got used to it and my body didn't even want anything else, and when I did cheat I felt so sick. 

So bottom line is diet is very important! 

Ok now for EXERCISE.....Of course exercise is very important to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It makes you feel and look good, gives you energy and is great for stress!  Im not saying you have to work out for hours everyday. Start out by doing 30 mins a day and try to do at least 2-3 days a week. Try running, walking, anything! If you go to the gym use the elliptical or treadmill. Weight training is good also...you DONT have to think like a body builder! Just do light weight but do all muscle groups....Arms, back, chest, legs, ETC. Do a little bit at a time and see how you feel.
