Tricks and Tips to get the PERFECT blow out

HI LADIES!!!

In this blog I am going to explain how to get the PERFECT BLOW OUT :) I know its not as  easy as when your stylist does it, and as a stylist I ALWAYS here....It NEVER looks this way when I do it! WELL NOW IT CAN!! Follow these steps and I promise it will be so much easier for you to get that silky, straight look :)

1. Make sure you use a really good shampoo and conditioner. Deff. use one that is catered to your hair. Wether it be frizzy, dry, oily, curly, need volume, etc.
2. Towel dry your hair REALLY WELL. The less moisture you have when beginning your blow out the better!
3. After towel drying, now comes the magical products! You hair will NOT look the way you want WITHOUT PRODUCT! You MUST use products catered to you hair needs.
Dry hair: Use a nice leave in conditioner, Use shining hair drops, any products that will gloss or shine your hair and will add some moisture.
Oily hair: Use any kind of volumizing powders, volumizing mousse , and any kind of hair powders to help soak up the oil.
Straight/limp hair: DEFF. use VOLUMIZING products! Use a root boost, mousse, hair powder, ANY VOLUMIZING products will help!!
Curly hair: Curly hair is tough to straighten depending on how curly it is so....Straightening and SMOOTHING products are key! Shine drops, smoothing lotions/ sprays, ANY products that will help assist you and make it easier and those are the ones described above.
4. OK NOW for the procedure...Make sure you have a professional blowdryer, one in which gets HOT and has nice airflow! Also make sure to use the nozzle that comes with it, that will direct the air flow and smooth out the hair strands! Use it on HOT!!
5. NEXT...use a ROUND BRUSH!!! It will help you create volume as well and giving your hair the pull it needs to create smooth hair!
6. So now the ACTUALLY BLOW DRYING...Use SMALL sections, will make it so much easier on you. Start at the nape of the neck and work to the crown. Using the round brush, wrap the hair around the brush and in a repeating motion, place the brush at the root and pull outward towards the end of the strand. Keep repeating until section is dry. MAKE SURE to have good leverage on the brush so you create the tightness needed to get the hair smooth. TRICK- keep the hair rapped around the brush for a minute and let it cool! That will create the volume needed! So if you can use to round brushes thats great!! REPEAT until all of your hair is dry.
7. FINISHING...After hair is totally dry and beautiful, use a shine drop or a smoothing lotion to finish the style..BUT only use a little bit and keep it towards the ends of your hair!! That way you DONT make it greasy! TO MUCH product will create a greasy look and YOU DONT want that :)

So try these steps out! DONT get frustrated on the first attempt, once you get the hang of the motion with the brush and blowdryer you will be GOLDEN!! So keep on trying and if you have anymore questions EMAIL me or leave a COMMENT on my website and I will gladly help :)

A few tips on creating a good base for your makeup

Hey everyone!! So today I want to talk about, creating a good base for you makeup to be put on. It is key to know what is going on your face and creating the correct balance and good palette to work with! So here it is :)

1. Make sure your face is clean, don't use a product that will dry out your skin or make it greasy. BALANCE is KEY!
2. Use a toner after you wash your face, will balance out your skin
3. Make sure to use a moisturizer!! You DONT want your face to be dry and flaky when putting on makeup, it will deff. be bad....
4. Put a nice lip balm on before putting any sort of lip pencil or lipstick on, will help prevent cracking!

Tips:
1. ALWAYS take off your makeup before you go to bed! Leaving your makeup on ages your skin 7 days!! YES, 7 days! So for every night you sleep in your makeup you are aging your skin! NOT GOOD!!
2. Never tweeze your eyebrows right before putting on your makeup. Always do it the night before or day before to prevent redness and blotchiness!

Well I think thats it for some do's and dont's and some tips and tricks to getting that perfect makeup application.
